I will be at Anime Expo once again, with the usual suspects the returning and a old bud, now going with us for the 1st time (lol inactive DA account)

and i don't know, maybe more, but less likely, due to damn Anime Expo's new policy push on 4 roomies only in hotels. FFFFFF
but yeah, we will be there all the days, leaving on the last day.

I hope to have fun, since in 2007 was the worst AX, and 2008 went alright, which is good.

but i "THINK" this might be my last year going to Anime Expo, for several reasons.

1: Its becoming less fun, less of a con for fans, more a con for the industry, and therefore, regular attendees get the shit treatment it seems more (2007 was a gran example of that) we become nothing more but cash lemmings to there overpriced food, and crap, and get treated like cows in a overcrowded barn., blargh! i don't know, i just feel its becoming less fun, simple as that.

2: Its far from me, (8 hours or so away) and the ride is not the bothersome thing, its just i start now feeling is it worth going to, being that its far, and i am sorta not enjoying it much like i use to.

3: Fanimecon is closer to me (San jose=45 minutes away from my area) and i find it more fun lately then Anime Expo, its ran by fans, for the fans, and therefore us attendees are catered to more so, not tossed aside for the bussiness people much like at AX, i find there programming, vibe, people, and such more fun, its not too small ether (17.000 people or so, i estimate, and growing) where Anime Expo was 43.000 last year, having such a big crowd can be good and bad, i might just go to Fanime for now, will see, i find it more fun, and worthwhile lately.

4: its very costly, one of the most expensive cons i attend, and being that times are getting harder, and i am trying to get a apartment or studio to rent, i think Anime Expo puts a hole in my pockets, and i might need to ease going to Anime Expo yearly, its definitly not cheap, and i might need to stop going, will see.

Plus other stuff, but i can't think of it at the moment, one reason being that the staff seems to always do something that pisses me, and others off, like 2007 being a disaster of a con, and 2009's new policy BS, which i did not like, those are factors as well why this might be my last time at AX.

Other then that, i hope to have a fun time, despite some concerns, and i hope to meet some people there i know, or some here from DA.

That Brings me to a question...

Whose going to Anime Expo? and who would want to do a meet? i am always cool with meeting fellow Deviants, so if your going, and would be down for meeting, leave a comment here saying so, and i'll make a list, and add your icon up.

other then that, we shall leave for L.A. like on the 30th of june, or july 1st, so if your going, i hope you have fun, as i hope i do.
